the fair

On the 30th of November, we went to the Binningup fair and had a great time.

We went with our cousins, Jazmine, Tyson and their mum and dad. I saw no kookaburras there, but we still put this picture on this page. Also, we walked to the beach on the way back.

how many things is that in one night?

Well, that was four things: barbeques, rainbows, rain and kookaburras

Barbeques

I helped Clem (my dad) cook veggie burgers, onion, potatoes and eggs on the barbeque tonight. The barbeque is on the first balcony and is very nice!

Rainbows

From the balcony, Clem spotted a rainbow. It was very big and stretched for quite a long way over the bush (woods) across the road from us. 

Rain

It drizzled a little bit over the house when we were using the barbeque.  

At school today it rained nearly all day and we had to go swimming in the rain (it's an outdoor pool). 

Kookaburras

For the first time tonight we saw a kookaburra sitting on the power line right outside our house!  We hear them cackle like this 'ooh ooh ooh ah ha ha ha ah ah ah ah ah' all the time but we don't usually see them!  Kirsty says they wake her up at 4.30am laughing outside her bedroom window.  Try saying the kookaburra noise!

hair, awards and parties

I got my haircut last week by my Aunt, Cherie.  Today Lucy went to her friend's birthday party.

I got an award at school and it was a virtues award: Confidence.

school bus

We have started going on the school bus to school on Tuesday. today I did:

• spelling
• recess
• maths test
• lunchtime
• sport

.....in that order!


On the way to school we go past a farm called Harvey Fresh.
It has a tower  with a ball at the top, the ball is painted as an orange!

Going to school

We started school on Monday and it was great.  I'm in Year 3 and my teacher is called Mr Holt.  There's about 25 kids in my class.  There's about 350 kids in the whole school!
The playground has 2 miniature playgrounds, a basketball pitch and a grass oval.
It takes 20 minutes to get to school.  Next week we'll get the school bus - this week we are going in the car.

The school uniform is a black and dark blue shirt, a black and dark blue cap and black shorts.  This is the school logo:

kangaroos, koalas and houses

We went to Yanchep National Park on Wednesday 23rd October and we saw koalas climbing trees, sleeping and eating.  We also saw kangaroos hopping, resting and boxing.  

This is a koala sleeping up a tree.  It's hanging on really tight with its claws.

The black blob in the tree behind me is a koala! (Can you spot it?)

Yesterday we moved to our cousins Ben and Henry's beach house in Myalup.  We're going to stay here until after Christmas.  WE'RE GOING TO SCHOOL TOMORROW!

Squashed melon

Yesterday we went to a shop called Myer and got free food (Myer is an expensive clothes shop).  The free food was ... chocolate biscuits, pizza and sprite!  And we got a 50% off voucher and I got some new pyjamas and a dress!

We went to a big playground and there was a model dinosaur called a phytosaur. The playground was in Kings Park.

Meeting cousins

We went to a playground and it was shut, because they were cleaning the sand. We went to another house and we will stay there for a week.

The next day we went to the same playground  and met our cousins.

First day

We went to the Hospital to see Grandma, at Osborne park.

On the Train

On the 15th of October 2013, we got on the train to Glasgow Queen Street.

At 9:30 we will get on the plane to Dubai, it will take seven hours. At 7:30 we will get on the plane to Perth in Australia, it will take 10 hours.

In Dubai we might see the world's biggest building.

getting ready

Yay! We are going to Australia soon! And I`m sure it will be fun :)
I am looking forward to lying under a tree in the sun! I hope we get to see koalas, kangaroos AND our cousins. We will go to school and have a lot of fun, yay!
