We went to Yanchep National Park on Wednesday 23rd October and we saw koalas climbing trees, sleeping and eating. We also saw kangaroos hopping, resting and boxing.
This is a koala sleeping up a tree. It's hanging on really tight with its claws.
The two kangaroos standing up are boxing in the sand.
This is a small young kangaroo.
Yesterday we moved to our cousins Ben and Henry's beach house in Myalup. We're going to stay here until after Christmas. WE'RE GOING TO SCHOOL TOMORROW!
Koalas look so cuddly in pictures - I forgot about the claws! The "black blob behind" you was well camouflaged. Kangaroos came into the yard behind the house at Binningup - close, like the last photo. Yesterday I watched lots of gulls flying high across the back garden, coming inland, and now we have a rising wind and forecast of exceptionally severe gales here tomorrow, people advised not to travel. At least Norfolk schools are on half-term so no school buses. Have you got your black shorts ready? What colour t-shirt? I see the sunhat! What else do you need to take to school in Myalup? Thinking of you. Nana x
